I think it would be really interesting if the DOJ were obliged to publish 30,000 paper copies. If their own settlement forces publishers to make e-books available as well as print books (a violation of copyright, btw), they ought to be obliged to provide print as well as electronic.

Sauce for the goose.

They might begin to appreciate the costs that book publishers have to recoup before they can afford to provide discounted versions as e-books.

Everyone with an opinion of the proposed settlement ought to write in.
