RE: length/price questions

I agree with Beth.  My first book for my series is rock bottom.  Once they are hooked they don't mind paying a higher price, but even then I don't exploit it.

      As a reader (though not in your niche), I prefer a low-priced intro to a

series, and I don't feel exploited by paying more for the rest. I don't

think I would pay $9.99 for a self-published book by someone I'd never

heard of, no matter how long it was. So I agree that your second option is

better. Those who actually write and sell books might know better, though.
