brnmcrk (do you have a name?), Other word processors can do this, some in more sophisticated ways than others. There are simply better tools for better end results. Straight text poses fewer problems than other content, and Aaron shows how to use Word for decent end-results. Open Office and Symphony are similar to Word, for example, and both are free. There are other free word processors, as well as less sophisticated tools, and highly specialised ones. There are many paid for examples as well. I will emphasise, before anyone else does, that one needs some familiarity with making ebooks, and maybe with other tools, before taking note of my remarks. And that caution does apply with some advice you will come across, like saving as text and moving to another tool. Those are for later on, when one is clear about the process.
