But then we can't evaluate the merits of your claims.  You can just say, "I 
think so-and-so is conservative, neocon, or neo-fascist for these reasons."  
It makes communication easier.  Then those claims can be addressed.

I'm most interested in what you think is neo-fascist.  What is a general 
definition of that?

I think the article is questionable.  I won't say it's fake.  But I wonder 
why a prominent literary figure, famous for not giving interviews, would 
give an interview in Playboy Japan.  And if he did, why haven't I read 
anything about it in the New York Times or Salon or anywhere?  Wouldn't a 
Pynchon interview be a big deal?  Are there any other media sources who 
comment on this?  There have been hoaxes associated with Pynchon before.  
Why not this one?  A lot of alarms go off.  That said, it could be true.  My 
impression if Pynchon is a liberal or progressive.
