Dave - The best response I have ever heard to this kind of assertion
- "no business case" - is from a stock analyst friend of mine:

a gravel pit can be a great business, and so is a grocery store.
Great businesses are the result of great businesspeople, and those
who are looking for a business case are probably insufficiently lazy
or creative to be successful at ANY business.
