Surprisingly they have not addressed the use of SOA in areas outside of business supply chain, where personally I think there will be far greater opportunities for innovation in such fields as grids, network management, HPC, research, education, health etc. Some excerpts from Grid Today article-- BSA] www.gridtoday.com Report Says SOA Spurring New Wave of Innovation According to a new AberdeenGroup research report, "Service-Oriented Architecture in the Supply Chain: What Supply Chain Managers Need to Know," companies are adopting Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to solve their most pressing technology issues. The study involved nearly 300 executives and found that 45 percent of companies surveyed have SOA or Web services projects involving the supply chain underway.
