[The EU funded Adaptive Services Grid is a good example of the application
of grid technology, agents and service oriented architecture to application
areas outside of traditional research and academia.  The only thing missing
in this program is the adaptation of peer to peer tools to minimize the
traditional telecom walled garden architecture approach to these
applications. Mashups using AJAX and RESTful are good examples of such peer
