[This is another great example of how small communities of interest are
doing their own broadcast distribution over the net. Most service providers
are still focused on traditional consumer broadcast TV and are being
bypassed by these developments and others such as YouTube, etc.  Thanks to

After more than 100 years as a magazine publisher, the IEEE might be
regarded as an unlikely candidate to become a broadcaster. But in August,
the IEEE released IEEE.tv (www.ieee.org/ieeetv), its Internet broadcasting
network, which features coverage of IEEE conferences, interviews with IEEE
book authors, primers on technology-related careers, and overviews of IEEE
products and services.

IEEE.tv is an internet broadcasting network that produces and delivers
special-interest programming about technology and engineering. The IEEE
recently introduced this offering as a benefit to the public, who may enjoy
public access programming at no charge, as well as to members, who receive
the IEEE.tv Member Basic subscription as a benefit of membership.

 Nat'l Geographic TV Available Through Open Media Network
