come one, come all - to the prometheus radio project envelope
stuffing barnraising!
Wednesday night- October 16th! 5pm to 11pm- drop by any time...
just as neighbors came together to build a barn, just as we gather
together radio enthusiasts to build new community radio stations...
we're asking you to come help us stuff our envelopes for free
radio!!!!
we are doing our first fundraising mailing and announcement of our
radio barnraising in opelousas louisiana: we have 1500 envelopes to
stuff and we need your help! drop in anytime from 5 pm to 11pm at our
office in Calvary Church and you will experience:
free pizza! and vegan approximations thereof! and various beverages
live Volta listening dance party as you stuff!
strange videos from paper tiger tv and free radio history!
wierd radio stories!
simulate the experience of being a folding machine at kinkos!
tactile extravaganza (of the sticky backs of stamps and paper cuts)1
sensuous licking (of envelopes)!
work off your community service hours from your various arrests!
way more fun than watching tv or doing your laundry!!!
infinite everlasting gratitude from prometheus staff and interns!

how to get here?
trolley:
take the trolley ("subway/surface line") 34 west, down baltimore
avenue. Get off the trolley at 48th and baltimore. There is a giant
stone church.across the street on the corner, the largest building
for blocks around. Walk along the 48th street side of the buildin
(not the baltimore avenue side). After a wooden bulletin board, there
is a large set of steps with double doors. Just past these, there is
a smaller staircase with a smaller door. There will be a wireless
doorbell which says prometheus- ring this with gusto.
car:
just get off of 76 at the south street exit. it is a left exit. if
you are coming from the north make a left turn at the stop light- if
you are coming from the south, you make a right turn. in any case,
you start following the street through the university of
pennsylvania.- i think there is a big sign or banner there welcoming
you to the university. you will bear left up spruce street. take
spruce street to 48th street and make a left. go about 6 or 7 blocks
to baltimore avenue and take a right- start looking for parking.
