Dear Friends: They sure do things differently down there in Texas. Take the case of Curtis Lee Robin, who has copped to a child abuse charge for beating his 11-year-old stepson with a car antenna and forcing the boy to live for weeks in the backyard. They're still working out whether Robin will have a phone in the mutt hut and how often he'll be able to leave for bathroom visits.
