Yes, we do need more than just awareness, but I am very doubtful of anything coming from the government side at all. In the earlier days, it was considered not-curable. Patients were shunned by family, doctors etc.., People had to go to special TB sanatorium's. Parallely there was a huge amount of effort spent on finding a cure, creating awareness and today TB patient's have to swallow just 1 pill a day and the disease gets cured in a month. Government should do more than just creating awareness. We need lot of trained doctors to control this pandemic. Givt can invest on research centres to in each apex hospital in an area to deal with AIDS patients. The research centres can give training to lot of doctors starting with house surgeons. This will change this pathetic scene.
