I agree with you absolutely!! I have held the same view for decades and I have mentioned the kind of uselessness that you have described so eloquently.?
I have dwelled on the possible reasons why too many activists suffer from the handicap of feeling satisfied by describing a socioeconomic problem but not following up on the solution, exposure of the culprits and sanctions on them.?
Could it be that too many Goans do not really understand their newly acquired freedoms and rights under the Indian constitution and law or is it a legacy of being ruled by a dictatorial Portuguese colonial government for some four hundred years that they are still in the state of a colonized mindset ("Its like that only in Goa"), and firmly believe that they cannot change anything, continue to remain as colonized slaves, and are yet to emerge from it?

The media, legislators and citizens play an important role in highlighting
issues that affect society. However, beyond exposing problems, what
ultimately matters is timely and effective action that provides lasting
solutions.

In recent years, social media has given rise to a new breed of public
activists who bring grievances to light through videos and online
campaigns. In some instances, they have succeeded in drawing attention to
neglected issues and have given hope to those who feel unheard. Their
efforts deserve appreciation where they genuinely serve the public interest.

At the same time, it is worth reflecting on whether publicity alone is
enough. Recording incidents and making them viral may create awareness, but
it does not always ensure that the underlying problem is resolved. Real and
lasting remedies usually require the involvement of the appropriate
government departments, statutory authorities and the legal process.

Public confidence in activism is strengthened when it is guided by
transparency, credibility and accountability rather than by personal
recognition or social media popularity. Citizens naturally expect that
those who champion public causes will act with integrity and pursue issues
until meaningful solutions are achieved.

History has shown that organised public movements have often brought about
significant reforms. Individual interventions, too, have their place,
especially in drawing attention to genuine grievances. Their true value,
however, lies not in the number of views or followers they attract, but in
the positive and lasting outcomes they help to achieve.

Constructive engagement, responsible advocacy and cooperation with public
authorities remain the surest path towards addressing the concerns of
citizens and strengthening public trust.
