Re: Attention God Squad!

Hello,

I'd like to clarify how Mary and Gatz are in charge of the staffing of God 
Squad during the weekend. God Squad is more of a casual role, and the roster 
tends to change over the course of the weekend. I'd like to clarify who will 
handle this. Who do we approach when Mary and Gatz are in share groups?

I do find it unfair that there are no people in the community willing to be 
God Squad leader. Many of us have done several full weekends on God Squad 
even when we are long gone from the community, yet you can't find anyone 
willing to foreit one team weekend to help out?

God Squad is not rocket science! Many of us acutally were God Squad leaders 
quite early. The God Squad leader has older members or parents on hand to 
indicate what needs to done.

The problem is that whatever way you choose to run your weekends, the entire 
community will benefit from having people who have done God Squad early on. 
If you get the parents or leaders to step in and do a large part of the God 
Squad role then I think the younger people are missing out on a valuable 
experience. Without younger people in God Squad I tend to think that the 
weekend tends to be less "Youth to Youth" and it is essentially run by the 
parents or old farts like me.

Anyway. Hopefully next weekend you might have someone offer to be on God Squad 
and they'll be able to run it the way they think it should be done.
