Salaam, in my experience saying Catholics are not Christians is similar to other forms of prejudice. I grew up supposedly Christian, and recall that said as a "joke" (not a nice one) of sorts. it boils down to the if you aren't like me you must not be xyz--cause i'm xyz and i'm *not* like you. Somehow I grew up NOT believing in the Trinity--not believing in Jesus as Salvation (he was guidance) and not believing that Jesus was God--though he was accepted as the "son of God" and yet all of us were God's children too. I think it might be hard to categorize Christians other than 1) they say they are Christians. in my view Christian beliefs are all across the board. which is neither here nor there in the original original sin discussion. with peace, Vana ...
