Hey Na'eem, I definitely believe in the enternal correctness of the Koran. I don't think sections can be ignored or that certain things become outdated. I don't think we as humans are so arogant and great that we think we can ever above the word of God. I also believe in a very literal interpretation of it. If we can't even agree on the correctness of the koran, there's very little left to debate. On that same note, the mention of male servants not having need of women in the koran implies for lack of a better term a lack of manliness. Most certainly god makes constant references to creating mankind in two. one male and one female [75.39]. It's possible something got lost in translation here being the genetic male/female and the concept of male servants are totally separate forms of sexes. Its entirely possible, these male servants are simply...well regular old servants who would not lust after their masters. But they could also be interpreted as homosexuals. They are given their role in Islam just as us heterosexuals are granted the roles for marriage and what not. Just tossing it out there.
