salaam bro,

Im sorry but I think you make a number of incorrect
assumptions and statements. First of all 65% of white
people are not on welfare...that is the most
ridiculous thing to say. Approx, 65% of welfare
recipients are white...thats because they are around
80% of the entire population. If 65% of white people
were on welfare...then there wouldn't be such a thing
as white racism. Secondly, we need to stop playing on
words in a very juvenile manner. Yes in a very strict
sense of the word Arabs could be victims of
anti-semtism - but the truth is that Jews suffered a
peculiar type of oppression, persecution and genodical
attacks because they were JEWS. And the Arab world
mimicked Europe's anti-semitism during colonial rule.
We have deviated from Islam in this regard.

Ofcourse welfare is an issue with black voters but my
only point was that the issues regarding black voters
and the convservatives are deeper than that...in short
neo-cons most resemble our former slave master's
brutality and hypocrisy. Welfare and Jobs are
secondary and circumstantial reasons, but they do not
explain the contrast of values that exist. Again on
this issue you present a false dichotomy...as though
one has to be rich to not be on welfare.

But this comment takes the cake for me, Afdhere wrote:

"for blacks, they won't even think about
israel/palestine issue. it is just not an issue for
black people in this country."

That is not true at all...Blacks have deep feelings
about this issue. What is the case is that the Black
community is deeply divided on the issue...determined
mostly by geography and less by something like
religion. Blacks overwhelming were against the war in
Iraq...Blacks were overwheliming questioning the
motives and the reasons behind 9-11. Brother you
should really stop making sweeping generalizations.

P.S. - I wanna see how you respond to the 65% of white
people on welfare thing.

salam, sr. charmi,

yes, it is exactly the thing i tell israeli/jewish
zionists. but honestly, though, i don't see the
difference yameen sees between muslims (who come in
all races) and jews (who also come in all races.) for
example, i'm from a continent... where the majority of
the jews are black. the same continent where the
majority of muslims aren't considered black. in fact,
as sad as this sounds, the area i'm from... most
people don't even know there are white jews ... let
alone latin, indian, etc :)

the comment i was making was a clear distinction
between african-americans (who have a small percentage
of muslims amongst them)... and general muslim public
(who are mostly immigrants... most of whom arrived
within the past thirty years.) they vote
differently... as day and night. for example, for
immigrant muslims... a zionist politician is a red
flagged. for blacks, they won't even think about
israel/palestine issue. it is just not an issue for
black people in this country. (and this they share
with most americans.)

when i came to this country, i was very curious about
the nation (of islam.) people make huge assumptions
about them. for example, i bet many people on this
list think they are the majority of african-american
muslims. eeer. wrong. out of the 1 + million
african-american muslims, only about 20, 000 are of
the nation. the rest? traditional muslims led by the
late elijah muhammad's son.
