Guests and Guests

Another requests for insights.

I teach at a US based university and the school has a Centre for Dialogue. 
Now the place gets a regular turn around of guests the Muslim world who are 
here as guest of the USA State Department - all in the name of dialogue and 
I get invited to lunch meetings with them. (Next week it is Afghanistan, 
India, Pakistan and Bangla Desh. they are accompanied/chaperoned by a 
handler from the States Department

On the one hand  I feel that I must be polite to guests and on the other 
hand, This seems to be part of  larger USA project to humanize the Muslim 
barbarians and I am not sure that i want to be a cog in this project.
