different versions of _The Mad Man_

My copy of _The Mad Man_ is the first, hardback, edition. When I finished it I felt like I had completed an Olympic endurance event. I understand that he revised it substantially for two subsequent paperback editions. Has anyone here read the multiple editions and can generally describe the revisions? Or has a pointer to a document that does?
