Circa 1988, I wrote the libretto (with text drawn entirely from the book)
and sketched out the music for a Dhalgren opera for radio. The production
never happened, but it was a fun project, which I would still love to do
sometime.

From the 2:00 samples available on the site, I=E2=80=99d say quite a bit of=
influence, in that, as soundscapes, they are both what I imagine, and very=
similar to things I was doing forty some odd years ago on a Moog at my uni=
versity, alas, no recordings of which remain playable, being done on reel-t=
o-reel. (I tried last year but none of the content was retrievable, or just=
