Re: 100 Must Read Sci-Fi Fantasy Novels by Female Authors

Generation drift is part this list; I would like to see some older authors, such as Zenna Henderson, C.L. Moore and Leigh Brackett but suspect the creator of the list is not even aware of their existence.  I was surprised that C. J. Cherryh was not listed, nor is Andre Norton.  There was little hard science fiction here and it leans heavily to works focusing on character.

The order is alphabetical by title, so I believe there is no judgement within the list.  And of course this is Ms. Steele’s list, which would be very different from mine.

Two comments on the list:

That no Sheri S. Tepper novels made the list is a little appalling.

Kindred by Octavia E. Butler should have made the list, and maybe even in the #1 spot.
