I don't know if these resources would be of use but I tend to use them when
I'm teaching:

1. When talking about socially constructed ideas of dis/ability and tech, I
usually reference:

I usually pair this with Sami Schalk's *BodyMinds Reimagined* (2018) and
Petra Kuppers' *Disability and Contemporary Performance: Bodies on the Edge*
(2013) and use this discussion on cyborgs by PBS (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs4d6AilVPQ) to contextualise some of the
Donna Haraway readings we discuss. We then usually use essays or articles
by Pramod Nayar (*The New Media and Cybercultures Anthology* 2010), Nishant
Shah ('The Selfie and the Slut,' in *Bodies, Technology and Public Shame*,
a special series in *Economic and Political Weekly*, Vol. 50, Issue No. 17,
25 Apr, 2015.), and other local theorists to connect ideas of embodiment,
tech, modernity, gender, and dis/ability to colonial histories and ideas of
'the body' and 'progess' itself within local contexts (in urban India).

2. For activism and the digital, I tend to use Zeynep Tufekci's *Twitter
and Tear Gas* (2017), Pramod Nayar's *Citizenship and Identity in the Age
of Surveillance* (2015), a lot of contemporary news articles where facebook
admits to abetting genocide and/or false news (most recently this article,
for eg:

and use multimedia links like Zeynep Tufekci summarising the contents of
her book Twitter and Tear Gas briefly:

We also talk about Black History Month, Dalit History Month, changes in
ideas of how news and journalism work with sites like Medium coming up, the
idea of the digital as a postcolonial space of contested voices, etc, and
try to negotiate what that means as we move towards the digital
increasingly being used as state apparatus.
