Nominations for SHERA Elections in January 2015

Dear Colleagues,

SHERA members are invited to nominate colleagues or themselves for
positions as officers. Elections will be held 5-16 January 2015. The
positions on the ballot are:

*Vice President* (2-year term). According to SHERA's bylaws, "The
Vice-President shall assist the President in the general management of the
affairs of the Society, and shall perform all the duties incidental to the
office. The Vice-President shall also serve as President-Elect, and shall
take on the office of President at the end of his or her term."

SHERA's current vice-president, Natasha Kurchanova, will take over as
president after the elections are over on 16 January 2015. The next
vice-president will work with Natasha to share responsibilities in a way
that is mutually convenient.

*Web News Editor* (2-year term) According to SHERA's bylaws, "The Web News
Editor shall post news items on the website, post calls for news on the
listserv, and actively seek news items relevant to SHERA’s membership."

Our current Web news editor, Ksenya Gurshtein has made the news blog
flourish (see http://www.shera-art.org/news/) and is willing to stay in the
position. Still, she says that if anyone would like to take on the
position, she is open to stepping aside and letting someone else do the
job.

<[email protected]> before 5 January 2015. Elections will be
held from 5 to 16 January by electronic ballot sent to SHERA members who
are current on their dues. The results will be announced 16 January 2016.
