Why Lucy is pregnant from two men: the riddle of the weasel

* Alchemy (pseudo-science) is based on separating and joining concepts.
  There are two examples of alchemy in the Sky: a Solar eclipse and the
  Dead Dog. Twin Peaks is about the Dead Dog.

* The Dead Dog in the Sky is the separation of the two-headed dog Orthos 
  into the constelleations Canis Minor and Canis Major, This is why we
  see so many hidden references to dogs in Twin Peaks.

* This is very important to understand why Lucy Moran is pregnant from
  *two* men (her boyfriend Andy Brennan and Dick Tremayne from Horne's
  department store),

* In order to understand why this relates to the birth of Herakles, we
  must realize that...
    - Orthos was the two-headed dog killed (separated) by Herakles, the 
      creator of most constellations. Orthos is still separated today by 
      the Milky Way: Canis Major is south of the Milky Way and Canis
      Minor is north of the Milky Way.
    - The Milky Way was caused by Hera, the wife of Zeus. Hera removed
      Herakles from her breast when Heracles bited in the nipple.
    - 'Herakles' means 'glory of Hera', or 'Glorious through Hera'

* Alcmene, the mother of Herakles, was pregant from both Zeus and her
  husband (so she was expecting a *twin* - explaining *Twin* Peaks) and
  Hera disliked Herakles and wanted to kill him in the womb of Alcmene.

     On the night the twins sharing the same mother were to be born, Hera, 
     knowing of her husband Zeus's adultery, persuaded Zeus to swear an oath 
     that the child born that night to a member of the House of Perseus would

     and slowed the birth by forcing Ilithyia, goddess of childbirth, to sit 
     crosslegged with her clothing tied in knots, thereby causing Heracles to 
     be trapped in the womb.

     She would have permanently delayed Heracles' birth had she not been
     fooled by Galanthis, Alcmene's servant, who lied to Ilithyia, saying
     that Alcmene had already delivered the baby. Upon hearing this, she
     jumped in surprise, untying the knots and inadvertently allowing Alcmene
     to give birth.

     No sooner Zeus had sworn this vow, Hera arranged with her daughter 
     Eileithyia, goddess of childbirth, to delay the delivery of Alcmene. 
     Eileithyia sat outside of the room where Alcmene was in labour. By 
     sitting with her legs cross and fingers intertwined, Eileithyia
     prevented Alcmene from pushing the babies out of her womb, for seven
     agonizing days.
     Alcmene might have died in childbirth had not an attendant Galanthis 
     tricked Eileithyia that the child have been delivered, surprising the 
     goddess from holding back the delivery. Galanthis paid a high price 
     for loyalty to Alcmene, when she tricked the goddess of childbirth.
     Eileithyia transformed Galanthis into a weasel.

  This is why Lucy is pregnant from two men and why one of these men (Dick

* This is still important today: as an adult, Herakles built a temple for a
  weasel and in the city of Thebe there is an annual Herakles festival where
  people give sacrifices to a weasel.

* The story is also important in quackery since the 13th *labor* of Herakles
  will be to remove the Milky Way to join the constellations Canis Major
  and Canis Minor into the two-headed dog Orthos again. Then, the alchemy
  of the Sky will be completed.
  This is the basis of 'orthomolecular (=the alchemy of Orthos) psychiatry'
  of Linus Pauling. The two heads will then no longer be separated, explaining
  why orthomolecular psychiatry is a quack story about 'schizophrenia'.
  It also explains many pop songs - especially songs by John Lennon and The
  Beatles (like 'I am the Walrus' and 'Come Together' - but there are many
  more Lennon songs about the Dead Dog).
