It may very well be that your interp is correct, but I don't
understand how those links you've included prove this at all.  They
both link to a sort of parody of Lewis Carroll's poem that was written
for a going-away party for a professor.  The spoof poem is about golf
and astrophysics (the professor's area of study).  Both sites do,
however, refer to "The Walrus & the Carpenter" as a nonsense poem.
