Don't know if this was directed at me at all, but in case it was, I
think my comments were mostly about Twin Peaks, like the "Dweller on
the Threshold" (which if you research, might help TP make more sense).
Besides a couple of brief asides on the moon and antimony, the rest of
what I said was about the Hermetic meaning that seems to be a layer of
TP.

One pet peeve of mine, BTW, is when people talk about TP as if it was
solely created by David Lynch. Mark Frost had as much to do with it,
they were co-creators (not to mention all the other writers and
directors). Lynch, who practices Zen meditation, is probably the
influence behind most of the Zen meanings of TP (there is a huge Zen
reference in the second season in a one-way discussion between Wyndom
Earle and Leo). Frost has a well documented interest in the occult,
especially Theosophy, and that seems to have influenced some of the
meaning behind TP. All the Tibetan Buddhism TP plays with is really
more on the Theosophy side (Theosophy believed in the White Lodge,
their term, as well as the Black Lodge, and both seemed to be, at least
in part, in Tibet). It may not interest you, but I think it is as valid
a topic as any on a TP discussion group. Not that I'm defensive or
upset, I just wanted to clarify. I can see a valid point for
criticizing long-winded rambling diatribes about dogs, planets, and
things that one cannot see directly linking to TP, but that does not
mean all talk about Hermetic codes and hidden meanings are invalid.

IMHO.

Anyone else out there a Mark Frost fan more than a David Lynch fan, or
am I in the minority? Not that I don't like Lynch, but I don't care for
some of his movies (I got bored to tears with Eraserhead -sacrilege, I
know). All the TV shows and books Frost has done I have tended to like
quite a bit. Frost deserves more credit for TP, I think - how's that
for a topic getting back to TP? Of course, it's all connected
anyhow... :)
