No, because Gmane has the group configured as read-only.
In principle Gmane's configuration could be changed, but if you didn't
know about the special rules, you might unknowingly incur the wrath of
this strict mailing list owner.
To me "read-only" is the logical choice seen from Gmane's side.

Nope, I don't think so, your article is forwarded with your original From:
header.
