Hi James, Abiword 2.9.2 was an extremely buggy test release and should never have been provided to users by Ubuntu. Your issue is not your fault and is a bug in abiword-2.9.2. Please upgrade to abiword-2.9.4 which has LOTS of bug fixes in place.
