My only suggestion at this point is to do a new basic install:

In your AbiWord 3.0 source directory do:

1. make distclean

This removes any files crated by the ./configure command

2. make clean

This removes files created by the make command

3 ./configure

run this without any additional parameters

4. make

5. make install

and see if that solves the problem.

If that fixes it, repeat these steps, adding 1 parameter at a time at 
step 3, to see if one of the parameters is the cause.
