I wondered if that was the case. I used Abiword alot in the past and then when 2.9 came on ubuntu it seemed to have problems. Most seems to have been sorted but editing with the cursor is a bit annoying that's all. I have just been typing stuff up in Mousepad and then opening in Abiword to format for printing.
