obscure languages polluting the language list

Hello,

when I choose "Set Language" from the right-click mouse menu, this
brings up a long list of all possible languages, sorted alphabetically.

Each time, I have to go through this gargantuan list to find one of the
two languages that I am actually using.

I don't understand why language "Acholi" even exists on my system,
without me having installed it (is that even a real language?)

Normally, languages are not preinstalled, and I would have to install
specifically only the language version I want to use, such as
"hunspell-de-ch"

In such case, the list would only contain my languages that I want to use.

Anyway, how can I remove all languages from the list, and only keep the
ones that I actually might want to use?
