Yes, I hope we can solve many problems regarding these issues with the 
new-to-come XSLT support (will be in 1.2). The image thingie would 
certainly be one issue, which maybe can be solved with XSLT. If it 
won't, I failed ;)

We support Mozilla from 1.4 and Firefox from 0.7 on, on every possible 
platform, what else do you need? ;)

MSIE as it exists today, is a dead end, IMHO. We certainly won't port 
BXE to MSIE (except someone gives us a lot of money...), but the ActiveX 
Mozilla-in-MSIE approach is still a possibility. Shouldn't be a big 
deal, *if* the Mozilla ActiveX Plugin would include the XSLT and XPath 
modules...
