basically BXE uses the RElax NG file you have to provide for this.

Furthermore you can exclude some elements from appearing, this happens 
can be configured in the config.xml

I don't know, where the config.xml is in Lenya, but if you find it, it's 
a good example for *excluding* elements from the user interface
