I told you that not a single file shows in Menu->Help on fink because somewhere a path to /usr/... is hardcoded. This is a known issue. So Menu->Help is a no no for Mac users. > Please test conglomerate.xml with xmllint to see whether or not it > is valid > and well-formed. Just admit that Menu->Help does not work on mine and we can go further. If you invoke yelp faq and the faq is in article format it works. If you invoke Menu->Help->Faq it does not work. And request from the user that it goes under a very long path to discover where the faq is, is not a good alternative for Mac users which are used to have a bunch of facilities (i.e. everything accessible from menus inside the application), so that they don't even know where to search. That's why yelp is a good alternative. Because just launching yelp is not too high demand. > > I realize this does not fix your problem for now. But, it may be a > way forward > for the next release. What do you think? Well, that's up to you. If I cannot compile conglomerate till the next release, that means I cannot test it on Mac, which means also that it's more than likely that I will not package it for fink. (i.e. I'm the fink's maintainer for conglomerate). Cheers, Michèle <http://micmacfr.homeunix.org>
