Unable to update po files

Hi,

First I should compile conglomerate to get all necessary files for  
updating po files.

Second I can create a conglomerate.pot file (which does no exist in  
cvs) with:
intltool-update --pot --gettext-package=conglomerate

Third, if then I try to update fr.po file with:

intltool-update --dist --gettext-package=conglomerate --output- 
file=fr-update.po fr

All the previously translated messages from xds.in files are marked  
as obsolete.

Maybe I don't use the right syntax.

Could please someone explain me what to do exactly?
