Borges: An extensible Documents Management System
This page presents the Borges Documents Management System. Borges is an 
Open Source project aimed at XML aware documentation projects caring 
about internationalisation, reusable content, teamwork, etc.

Warning: This is "technological preview" software. That means that it is 
likely to evolve substantially. As a result, your work on it may not be 
reusable in future versions (if any ;-)

Features

Currently, the system allows to:

     * Easily write modular documentation in XML DocBook;
     * Compile the source files into PDF and HTML;
     * Track the work in progress from the whole project (made of 
various manuals) to the most basic components (paragraphs), and their 
translations;
     * Track the state of each module according to six predefined states 
(from "written" to "final language proofreading").

Some details:

     * automatic management of images in EPS, PNG, DIA, XFIG formats;
     * automatic management of global and local (per manual) external 
entities;
     * automatic management of modules as external entities;
     * much more to come ;-).
