Hi,

On installing ubuntu 17.10, I decided to do the same for jEdit. This,
unfortunately, returned me to a problem I've had before, trying to get, in
html and css files, the link between tags and curly braces shown as a line
in the gutter.

I've selected the structure scope option in the global options>gutter
section.
I also googled this but none of the suggested solutions seem to work. Is
there a definitive i.e. precise, way to do this? What settings and plugins
are needed?

This is such an important editing function that I'm surprised it's not a
standard clickable feature. Could this be put on the to-do list for future
versions, or, failing that, insert an explicit instruction into the jEdit
documentation,

best regards

Roy
