Re: Structure scope not working on new install of jEdit

I don't really know what "highlight structure" does but to determine which
folding mode you have (fold markers in the gutter),
you select the "folding mode" in global options - editing  for each edit
mode, and you can set a global default for all modes.
The status bar tells you what folding mode is active.

The structure scope for XML or HTML tags is provided by "sidekick" (+ XML
plugin must be installed).

"Explicit" is for marking folds denoted by

{{{ begin
asfdasdf
end of fold }}}
