Re: Problem with installation on Windows 10

Hi all, I got two helpful messages (I'm unclear if they went to everyone 
or just me), and I'm up and running!  For anyone searching for a 
solution to this, I've copied the messages below.

I did what Chris did, and run version 5.5, instead of the latest 5.6. 
Works just fine and I didn't need to do the font scaling (my monitor is 
a 30" 1600 vertical, so it isn't in the realm of the tiny pixel 4K 
ones).  I feel a little dumb that I didn't think to just try an earlier 
version of jedit.

Jana1972 wrote that installing Java 11 solved it, in that he/she (and I) 
have an earlier version of Java installed.  Frankly I thought I was 
using the latest and rechecked and I'm still confused and I didn't feel 
like fiddling further.

So now I have my fave little look at code / log files / gcode / mystery 
file editor again :)
