Thank you. That's super kind of you, and unexpected.

Have to say after getting the $JAVA_HOME thing squared away and setting
the correct path and setting 21 as default using java-common tools I've mad=
e
the freezing bug go away.

My old friend, jedit, is back to its reliable self. I am so happy. Using
5.6 with Java 21
every thing is working fine.  So, I'll wait for the production release of
FTP and when
5.7 is working well with the new FTP I'll do the upgrade.
