The main way of finding the archives as far as I can tell is Google. We
would lose all indexing on the existing archives, but fortunately Google
and other search engines will index PDF, so that should eventually
improve. It's not ideal, but this could be an option.

Now to find someone who is prepared to convert the thousands(?) of
emails in the archives.
