Because - generally speaking - it's non-standard, harder to use (not 
in this case when you have wxArrayInt typedef, but with custom types) 
and less debugged than the Standard Library.

Considering that the Std Lib is part of C++ language itself, no ;-) 
Unless you account for very old compilers, but that's not a concern 
for poedit.
