We are using poEdit version 1.3.1 to translate strings from English to Simplified Chinese. The setting for the charset is utf-8. I am attaching a sample .po file.

When I try to open this file with poEdit version 1.3.2 and version 1.3.4 I get an error message:
"There were errors when loading the catalog. Some data may be missing or corrupt as the result."

The Details window flags every line of the file with this message:
"Line [0] of file [test.po] is corrupted (not valid utf-8 data)."

I am able to open this file in poEdit version 1.3.1 just fine. I'm on Windows 2000 platform. I am currently instructing our translators to use poEdit version 1.3.1 only.

Thanks,
Sue Marvin
