Hi,

Sorry that my first message was not clear, I will try again.

I have downloaded and installed poEdit 1.3.4 on windows xp using the windows
installer distribution.

I have then set up the path to my source files, and opened a pre-existing po
file.

If I select EDIT / SHOW REFERENCES it functions as I would expect in that if
I right click on a term, the correct line references in the souce files is
shown.

However, I have made some amendments to the source files which will require
new translation entries to be made in the PO file.

From what I have understood (perhaps wrongly) this is achieved by running
CATALOG / UPDATE FROM SOURCE.

When I try this I get a pop-up window entitled "Updating Catalog" that says
: "Parsing PHP files". The working indicator bar progresses to the end of
the window, the pop-up disappears to be replaced by another pop-up window
entitled "Poedit Error" which says "Updating the catalog failed. Click on
'More>>' for details."

When I pull up the details it says :
"Execution of command 'dxgettext --so
"C:\DOCUME~1\Richard\LOCALS~1\Temp\poe2471.tmp" failed (Error 2:"
"Cannot execute program: dxgettext"
"Entries in the catalog are probably incorrect."

I hope this is a bit clearer.

Regards,

Richard
