Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Unfortunately, that error started to happen 
every time I tried to see references or save changes after having poEdit 
opened for a few minutes (not when recently opened) so I dropped down my 
database and re-created it, as I didn't know how to recover it. 
Everything looks fine at the moment, so I guess I did something wrong 
...though I can´t recall what.
