Hi there! I use Poedit to translate fedora to RO. I managed to do about 2 translations so far with good results. I am now trying authconfig for fedora. I use WinXp (works for the modem) and TortoiseCVS and Poedit 1.3.6. I managed to open the ro file and I tried to modify it. Every atempt to save the file as ro1.po (different file name for locking reasons) failed, even I did not modify anything in catalog configuration or in the input text box (where usually I write RO translation). I then tried to make combinations in catalog properties: utf-8:8859-2, utf-8:utf-8 etc. The original ro.po file looks like: msgid "" msgstr "" "Project-Id-Version: authconfig 1.0\n" "Report-Msgid-Bugs-To: \n" "POT-Creation-Date: 2006-12-12 21:06+0100\n" "PO-Revision-Date: 1999-04-13 11:56-04:00\n" "Last-Translator: Cristian Gafton <[email protected]>\n" "Language-Team: Romanian <[email protected]>\n" "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-2\n" "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8-bit\n" Another I managed to save it without error, but then I introduced a single letter to test it and it was gone: 23:45:34: E:\work\translate\authconfig\authconfig\po\ro2.po:19: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr' does not match 23:45:34: msgfmt: found 1 fatal error Another thing is that notepad sees the source sometimes as CR/LF sometimes as LF. I apreciate your work on this usefull tool and wish you all good luck. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
