[poedit-users] unable to update a particular .o file from template

I am working at the Romanian translation for VLC Media Player.
Subsequent template updades from versions 0.8.5 - to - 0.8.6c worked
flawless.

The problem is that I am not able to update with the .pot file from
version 0.9.0. The program shows all differences, but when trying to
save, it does nothing. Or, if after updating with the .pot file I close
the program window, the window closes without asking for saving, etc.

I'm on Windows, with poEdit 1.3.6. If needed, the .po and .pot files are

I asked a friend of mine who's on Linux to update the file for me
and he has successfully done that with the command
msgmerge ro.po vlc.pot -o updated_ro.po
But I want to be able to do this for myself whenever I need it.

What's the problem ?
