Hi, When I saved a ja.po(*1) file of bbPress (*2), Poedit 1.4.1 got an error which says "found 1 fatal error" and log.txt says: **** : /Users/tai/Desktop/ja.po:671: 'msgstr' is not a valid PHP format string, unlike 'msgid'. Reason: The character that terminates the directive number 1 is not a valid conversion specifier. : /Applications/Poedit.app/Contents/MacOS/msgfmt: found 1 fatal error **** While creating .mo with msgfmt command on the terminal got no error. I'v looked into the ja.po file and found the string below caused the error: #: bbpress/bb-admin/class-install.php:556 #, php-format msgid "99% of the time these settings will not have to be changed." msgstr "99% " I guess "%" is a kind of a special character used for directives and needs to be escaped or something but I have no idea how to do it, so I left the msgstr blank and got no error now. So could you tell me how to use "%" in the string? Also I would like to know whether the cause is bbPress's string or Poedit, because the msgfmt command got no error. *1 http://svn.automattic.com/bbpress-i18n/ja/tags/0.9.0.1/ja.po *2 http://bbpress.org/ Thanks in advance. -- Tai ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
