I for myself like the natural "ordering", where the strings are usually grouped on program's per function or per sub-module basis. When I translate a menu, then most menu tree strings happen to be in same area (well, more or less). If a menu has a contextual help, then usually the help string is just below the action or button string. Any sort order will break this. But I am not against this as long as it remains just as an optional feature.
