It means that your input files are not valid PO files. The error comes
from Gettext tool "msgfmt", not Poedit. And the message tells you
*exactly* what the problem is -- even better, it tells you where it
occurs (i.e., how to fix it). You just have to *read* it and pay
attention to what it says.

BTW, you get this error only because you've chosen to compile PO files
into MO files on every save (otherwise msgfmt wouldn't be ran in the
first place).
