[poedit-users] Error: duplicate message definition

hello,

new to poedit, need to get software set up for translators, *hoping that they're
game for using this great tool*...

downloaded new po file, and I get this error when I go to save the file. 

..
16:45:56: admin.properties.po:132: duplicate message definition...
16:45:56: admin.properties.po:40: ...this is the location of the first definition
16:45:56: msgfmt: found 1 fatal error
..

So I try to "save as" my file *without* making any modifications and I still get
the same error. This seems to happen with all the po files I have to work on?
Does this point to file format error or is this a known issue?
